Sumilon dream.

Sumilon.

Before the year ends,i want to go to Sumilon Island. It's said to be one of Cebu's best kept secrets. An island off south coast of Cebu, I first heard about it on one of the episodes of Sports Unlimited. From that first encounter, I fell in love and made a vow that I will someday bask in its beauty. Haaayy.. Ive been here in Cebu for 4 months now but I have not yet set foot in Sumilon. Its only 3 hours from the city and you would think that I can find the time even just for a day's adventure in the country's first marine sanctuary. But no, I have yet to discover its pristine beauty. I have actually planned on going there 2 months ago with some of my colleagues just for a day trip but the plan had to be shelved because of lack of time. Well I could have gone and be back the same day but I dont want to go alone. It wouldnt be the same going with friends :) So there, the year is closing and I, not sure if my Sumilon dream for 2007 would be fulfilled.

Just saw a very touching film.


Thanks to roan nakakita ko ug movie nga the road home starring zhang ziyi ug partner niya kay kanawong ni wilford nga officemate namo. hahaha. touching kaayo ang movie. nakahilak ko pero pasimple lang kay maulaw ko kay maam :p. at the end of it, i even told roan that it really pays if you fight for what you want-- sa klarong istorya - fight for your love! Hehehe. Ask si maam unsa kuno ako plano. Hmmm.. we'll see. Bitaw, sa pagsure gyud, timing ra gyud kaayo to pagtan-aw nako sa movie. Sa mga sulod sa akong utok karong mga panahona, kinahanglan lang gyud nako ug pahinumdum nga okay lang kab-uton ang imong mga pangandoy misan pang sa tan-aw nimo lisod o imposibleng mahitabo. matud pa kay roan, mag raise kuno mi ug go-out-and-see-the-world-fund. It would be a start..

La Bruja de Portobello

Finally.. weekend. And weekends mean its time off from work. I was so looking forward to this time off so I can finish reading The Witch of Portobello. The first Paulo Coehlo title I read up to the end. the plot was refreshing to me since most of the books I read are more of romance genre :p (What can I say, Im a hopeless romantic) A compelling book about a woman born of gypsy origins. Her story unfolds through the personal accounts of the those who knew her. A journey of the woman who tries to find the answers and appease her restlessness, I would definitely recommend this as a must-read.

one of those days.

It's one of those days. Woke up at the wrong side of the bed. Minor household problem. Not in the mood to go to work. Aggghhh!! Im tired of what I'm doing. It seems to me, there is no fundamental reason why Im doing this and why Im here. Its one of those days that you reflect and really think of what it is that you really want. Until now I am still contemplating... I hope I'll have the answer soon.

Millions of people all over the globe have been waiting for this day. I, personally have been looking forward to it since it is the date that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released, the 7th and final book of the Harry Potter series of J.K Rowling. 

Days before the release, I knew that a National Book Store branch here in Cebu will be opening at 7am to accomodate readers who want to be among the firsts to know the fate of Harry. So immediately after shift I dashed to NBS Mango Square to grab a copy. I was expecting that a queue since I heard it was the case in NBS Glorietta, Powerbooks Greenbelt and most of the bookstores in Manila. To my surprise and relief, there were only a few people inside the bookstore. I did not have to wait in line to pay for the book. I was a bit disappointed though that I wasnt their first customer to buy one. Hehehe. I found about they when they asked me sign their logbook where they keep track of the first few who grabbed a copy. I think I was only the 50th? 

Anyhow, I was so excited to read the book and could hardly wait to know how it ends. Yet, I was also anxious to finish it. I realized that reading this last book would be like saying goodbye to Harry Potter and the rest of the wizarding world. I guess I wasn't so ready to say goodbye yet. I cried buckets when I finally closed the book. But I realized, I can always go back to that magical world anytime I want. I just have to open those books! So there, all was well.

Yaaaaaay, happiness!

Makauli na gyud ko! After almost 7 months here in Manila, I'll be flying home on May 11 aboard Phillipine Airlines flight 817. I'll be home for my 11 days vacation leave. Can hardly wait for that day, but before that, I still have a million things to do. Like shopping for everybody's pasalubong, paying the bills, meeting my cousin, and right, I remember I still have to confirm things with workforce for my leave. Gaaah. But that's alright. So long as I can go home on my scheduled departure I dont have any complaints. Yaaayy, that's 11 days from now. Take me back in your arms, Davao!

Oh, I get to practice my right to suffrage. Yeah!
