all was well.
July 21, 2007.
Millions of people all over the globe have been waiting for this day. I, personally have been looking forward to it since it is the date that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released, the 7th and final book of the Harry Potter series of J.K Rowling.
Days before the release, I knew that a National Book Store branch here in Cebu will be opening at 7am to accomodate readers who want to be among the firsts to know the fate of Harry. So immediately after shift I dashed to NBS Mango Square to grab a copy. I was expecting that a queue since I heard it was the case in NBS Glorietta, Powerbooks Greenbelt and most of the bookstores in Manila. To my surprise and relief, there were only a few people inside the bookstore. I did not have to wait in line to pay for the book. I was a bit disappointed though that I wasnt their first customer to buy one. Hehehe. I found about they when they asked me sign their logbook where they keep track of the first few who grabbed a copy. I think I was only the 50th?
Anyhow, I was so excited to read the book and could hardly wait to know how it ends. Yet, I was also anxious to finish it. I realized that reading this last book would be like saying goodbye to Harry Potter and the rest of the wizarding world. I guess I wasn't so ready to say goodbye yet. I cried buckets when I finally closed the book. But I realized, I can always go back to that magical world anytime I want. I just have to open those books! So there, all was well.

homecoming.
Yaaaaaay, happiness!
Makauli na gyud ko! After almost 7 months here in Manila, I'll be flying home on May 11 aboard Phillipine Airlines flight 817. I'll be home for my 11 days vacation leave. Can hardly wait for that day, but before that, I still have a million things to do. Like shopping for everybody's pasalubong, paying the bills, meeting my cousin, and right, I remember I still have to confirm things with workforce for my leave. Gaaah. But that's alright. So long as I can go home on my scheduled departure I dont have any complaints. Yaaayy, that's 11 days from now. Take me back in your arms, Davao!
Oh, I get to practice my right to suffrage. Yeah!

merry christmas.
Merry Christmas.
I guess I dont really sound like Im having a merry one and thats because this is my first Christmas away from home. Life's a bitch. I missed all the family reunions that we always have this time of the year, the holiday shopping, the preparation and celebration of Noche Buena and of course the opening of gifts every Christmas morning. But still, my Christmas wasnt so bad at all.
Hope everyone else had a meaningful Christmas.

Of goodbyes and.. jungles?
October 12,2006. 550pm. Cebu Pacific flight 566 from Davao bound for Manila. Our flight was delayed but I had no reaction, not even annoyance. I feel numb all over. I've been crying for hours now. It was supposed to be an exciting day since I'd be embarking on a new adventure yet it felt like I just lost everything. I left the house and got on a cab with Doydoy crying and calling out to his tita and mama on the verge of tears. I was supposed to be ready for it. I was supposed to handle it like an independent mature person. Hah! Wishful thinking. No matter how much I have prepared myself, telling myself that Manila is just one hour and forty five minutes plane ride away, I still bawl like a baby everytime I leave Davao. I really hate goodbyes even just temporary ones.
I'm going to really miss home and I'm already counting the days until I can go back. But until that time comes, I'd have to survive first the jungle that is Manila. Gaaaah! The pollution and the dirt. I wonder how I'd make it. There is no place like home, indeed. Maayo pa ug nipuyo na lang ko sa amo balay :(

maiden post
Yaaay, new blog! I've been wanting to do this for the longest time, and now that I finally got one, I don't even know where to start. Gaah. There are so many things on my mind I would like to share. For the meantime though, I'll settle for this so-so maiden post. My thoughts are all in a jumble and Im not really coherent these days. I'm hoping things will be better soon though. Until then.
