Tired and heartbroken.
Haggard ang byahe! Letse kaayo. But Bianca was right, it was all worth it.

Dearest Bianca, know what's really inside your heart and follow it. In the end, whatever happens, you can tell yourself that at least you fought for what you really wanted. Char! Lahi ra lagi gyud ning gwapa :p

Ecstatic
I'm so happy I could fly. Char. Seriously, mao gyud akong gibati. I finally got one of the things I've been most wishing for. This is it! I am now a proud owner of a brand new Canon EOS 450D DSLR camera. Eeeeeep!!! About damn time. I've been drooling for a Canon DLSR for like forever and I decided it was about time I get one - their latest models at that, hehehe. I'm still trying to learn it's intricacies and trying to discover its power but I'm loving every minute of it. I am one happy dork.
For the first photo op with my new toy - Bantayan Island here we come.
And if I become broke in the next few months, kebs! I'm still definitely getting all my money's worth ;p

Charlie Bit Me.
This is so cute. 2BeU Inquirer recommended this video in one of their articles a few weeks past. Good thing I checked this. They are so adorable. And the accent. It's still huh-ting. Hehehe

Damnation.
Gawd. I have such a short temper these days. I don't know if it's because of this blasted heat or the things that bug me that is making me so irritable. There's the upcoming interview with the BIG boss and possibly with the bigger one that added to the pressure. Not to mention I have yet to find my new abode here in CEB and the pending application for my vacation leave. Haay, mabuang na ko.
An innocent remark from a friend that had me fuming inside was just a testament of how short my fuse is these days. Although I was trying my damnedest not to let it show, heck, just even thinking about it now has my hackles raising. I mean, it's none their business if I wanna buy something, right? It's not like Im gonna ask them for money or anything. Hmp.
And the heat. Grrrrr. With my shift that ends almost at noon, you'd definitely feel the scorching heat of the sun. Summer na gyud. A few days ago, I've decided that I'd avoid cabs and just ride jeepneys going home to save some precious money but the blistering sunshine just melted my resolve. And the heat goes with you wherever you go. Inside the bedroom, even if you have your fan in full blast right in front of you, you'd still wake up drenched in sweat. Ugh. Makasapot gyud.

Batang Apo - 'stig.

I was in a nostalgic mode a few days ago and I was particularly strolling down memory lane of my high school years. Just remembering those years is like going though a roller coaster ride. The tears, the drama, the laughter, the joy, haayy..I miss my high school pals. We were and some would argue that we still are the most notorious class in the school's history. Teachers would dread and would think twice before handling our class.
As I-Rosas we made our Values Education teacher cry and made the rest's heads ache. The year we were II - Abokado, the guys changed their name to that of the characters of the anime Ghost Fighter so as to confuse the student teacher. In junior year, we made the school's chemistry lab our homeroom. Who would forget the damages we've made to the sinks, stools and tables of the newly built lab. The lab during lunch hours would look like a gambling place, groups of students clustered all around playing chiki-cha, piat-piat and bakak. We even had our own manghuhula -in the guise of Franco. And on our senior year, we made our adviser really mad,she threw pots of flowers out of our second floor room. That was Maam Dugs' moment ;-)
We Batang Apos were certainly a rebellious lot yet achievers in our own way. Even on our first year, we defied tradition when some of us joined the school's scouting unit. That is, usual norm was if you're a student of the science class, scouting is a no-no since as they say we couldnt handle our academics with extra curricular activities. But boy, did we prove them wrong when 2 of the boys were chosen as one of the top 10 outstading boyscouts of the philippines. We further made our point when most of the class joined Tanghalang Aguinaldo-DRAHS' theatre club and most of the main casts were once again from our class. During junior high, 3 of the girls joined the scouting unit as rover scouts, and they were also the school's first. Of course, the class valedictiorian and salutatorian was from the class. We also has the prettiest girls, the smartest students (which is expected of course), the most talented - we could probably form a band if we wanted and organize a concert. Hehehe. Such conceit. Even the shy and silent ones in the contribute to the class' reputation. Definitely the undisputed worst yet best class in DRAHS' history.

Batang Apo.
A tribute to the world's worst and best class.
We started out as just an ordinary class in an ordinary school. We never knew we'd turn out to be the worst class our school ever had, or that we'd cause most of our teachers to lose their precious sanity. Rizal people were notorious for disobeying teachers and laughing about it, blatantly cheating during exams, not doing cleaning chores in the classroom (remember the case of the hurled flowerpots?). This class was referred to as the war freaks. Yup, we freaked our teachers out by our pranks and disobedience. By the time we started our third year of high school, no one was willing to become class adviser. Thus, we were passed from one reluctant adviser to another. Our rebelliousness only intensified. By the time we finished our junior year, we had the reputation of being DRAHS' worst class. We were always told to follow those who had gone before us, but we never bothered to emulate them. After all, we'd die first before we became like anybody else. Being part of this wacky class was an unforgettable experience. Our class can be correctly named as a jack of all trades and a master of all. That is, we had countless talents - fortunetelling, internet hacking, electronics (ours was the only electronics class with over 20 ladies), cheating, singing, dancing, writing, making practical jokes, playing musical instruments, drawing, and a whole lot more. The years spent in DRAHS' dilapidated classrooms were indeed memorable and worth keeping.

Jai Guru Deva Ommmm...

Across the Universe
Thanks to bianca's post in her blog, i get to watch this wonderful musical which features my all time favorite band's greatest hits. I first heard about this lat year but I never paid attention thinking it was just one of those foreign film noirs that will never be released commercially. I only knew that it's a film by Julie Taymor, other than that, I could not have cared less. But after I found that it's a musical based from the songs of the beatles, whoah, I just had to see this one. I could not find any DVD copy here in Cebu so I nagged my Papa into sending me one. And yes, he sent me a copy, on Valentine's Day to boot. I had to give it to Papa, he really understands my need to see the film, being a huge Beatles fan himself. I am my father's child after all.
I enjoyed the movie, though at first I had to adjust to the casts' own version of my favorite Fab Four hits, but hey, it worked. I especially love TV Carpio's I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Jim Sturgess' All My Loving and I've Just Seen a Face. I found myself crying during the Let It Be part. Bono's appearance and version of I am the Walrus is also one of the film's highlights. Haaayy.. I just love the songs. Love ko na rin si Jim Sturgess. Hehehe.. Every Beatles fanatic should really watch this!

Crashed.
Arrrrggghhh.
The computer just crashed, and it's the end of the world. Waaaahhhhhhhhh! Kalagot! As per Chesca - fuck shit gyud dude! I was trying to upload some pics from the digicam I borrowed from finfiesto. Those captured final moments with dear housemates Nes and Jones before they went home to find their happiness :p are now gone. Why oh why couldnt have the computer crashed after I uploaded some of the pics, maybe just even half of it? And why oh why stupid dork could have deleted the files from the memory stick later? As it is, I only saved two shots from yesterday when Jones, Carlo and Kim had dinner at house. The shots at Mcdonalds and IT Park will just be in our memories. Damn computers!

Cant beat that feeling.
S: 'Morning!
Dork: Huh? Whut? (with that stupid look)
S: 'Morning!(exasperated)
P: Hi!
Dork: Ay, hi..
S: This is Asfer..
P: Of course, I remember her.
Dork: (stupefied)

Shoooot. I can't get over it. I feel so kilig. Eeeeeeeeeekkk. Just a few minutes into my shift and I already had a moment to remember. Ewww, does that sound cheesy or what. I had just logged in and was checking the stats of the agents when OMT and PD approached Nes who was checking if the new tool was working. And when OMT saw me,he greeted me and then it happened. Jeeezzzz. I can just imagine the look on my face after he said that and good thing that I had my back on him. He really made my day! Accckkk! How corny can I get.?
Its been a long time since I acted and felt like a schoolgirl. The anticipation that you'll be seeing someone you -for the lack of a better word-admire. It's nice that we let our guard down sometimes and just have a good time. Friends always tease me that I am cynical and that I should not have such high expectations or standards. After all we are just human. It feels good to be human :p and I feel human today. I feel bad everytime my friends would gush over someone who's cute and good looking and I'd just dashed their excitement with my sarcastic and deriding remarks like "dili gyud siya cute noh" or "hmp. mukhang mayabang" or worse - "he looks dumb". Im really not so nice diba?
So more than the meaning of those magic words uttered, it was the fact that I am not so jaded at all to feel like this. That after all, I still feel kilig because of a real person and not someone from a book, a movie or a TV show. Ang saya-saya. Kinikilig ako. You cant beat that feeling.♥ ♥ ♥
